Hello is there a way to create a new card from a comment.
E.g the comment says: @user Your new job is. Getting the answer to the question.
So the Trigger is: @user
The action is: Create a new card using the name: Your new job is.
Description in the new card is: Getting the answer to the question.
Put the new card in another Board under the @user's list
Hi Brian, thanks for writing to us.
Yes, you can create a card from a comment. I've tested here on my end and from what you want, it would be something like this:
I created this by doing the following:
Keep in mind that we can use variables when using our automations, so feel free to take a look here - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/
Hope that information helps!
Thank you for replying but unfortunately I don't think explained my self properly.
E.g the comment says: @User(the user is the trigger to make a new card and the)
Your new job is: (This what comes after the @username and it will vary all the time so it will have to be a wildcard)
Getting the answer to the question. (This is what is after the Your new job is: So will need another wildcard as this will be different all the time as well.
So the Trigger is: The user name and I will have to make a action for every user I suppose.
The action is: Create a new card using the name: (wildcard). Which is after the username and before the Colin (:)
Description in the new card is: (Wildcard). Which is after the Colin (:)
Put the new card in another Board under the @User's list
I hope this explains it better. I will probably have to set up an action for every user so when that user is mentioned it will go to their list but that is ok.

Hi Brian,
Got it. I think that if you create a separate automation for each user will do the trick.
We don't usually create things for our users because our idea is to get you on the right track and learn with the process, so please, feel free to continue to explore our automations and if you have any additional queries, let us know!
