Creating a Recurring Preventive Maintenance Task

Can a recurring date maintenance task be created? Example- a generator test was just completed in Feb.  I want to mark it as Completed for 2023 and I want to track it again to open in Feb 2024.  Is that possible?

Hi Greg, I have pre-built automation libraries for the following recurring task scenario:

Recurrence of tasks set daily, weekly, monthly, 6  monthly, yearly.  New card created.
Upon completion of a card, reset the date to a years time (as your example mentions)

I would tend to side with making a new task for each recurrence but it depends whether you want to track information year on year to see what has occurred at each maintenance.  Is that something you need?

Hi Gregg - welcome to the community!

An option is to use Automation to create a Calendar command to perform an action on a specific date every year.

As an example, you could set up a command that creates a new card called ‘Recurring Preventative Maintenance’ every year on the 1st February.
