I have created an Automation button that copies a card to another board and links the two together - all good. What I can't figure out is how to check any checklist items on the copied card that are already checked on the original card. Any suggestions please?
If it cannot be achieved with native Trello automation and or tools like Zapier, you will have to use its Api. I recall a piece of work, done some time back, to copy cards also well as to ensure details of checklist items aka due date, assigned member and status are also maintained. It is part of a MirrorSync setup for cards.
@milynnus Thanks for replying but....
* I can't see how to do it with native Automation, hence my question
* I dont see how Zapier can help - isnt that used to connect Trello with other apps and services?
* How would I use the API? Can I tie in an API call with the button I already created?
Thanks.

You are quite right on point 1 & 2. I do a lot work for my clients leveraging on Trello http request. I can be called from with a rule or a button. The client that had me worked on modifying checklist items, although not using it anymore because he just refuse to pay for premium, had several unique requirements on checklist items including when a template change is changed, he wanted all created cards to be updated.
