I opened a Trello account last evening and accidentally got a Premium account instead of the free account. I did not put in a credit card for payment yet. Could anyone explain to me how we turn off the premium account? Thanks in advance!

I've just checked the information on your account and see that you applied for a free 14-day Premium trial for your Workspace. It doesn't oblige you to purchase a subscription right away, and no credit card details are required.

If you decide not to purchase the subscription, simply don't add the credit card information, and your Workspace will be automatically downgraded to the free version when the trial finishes.
Otherwise, if you want to cancel the free trial immediately, you can let me know, and I'll do it on your behalf.
