Cards marked as Done automatically

Geneviève Landry January 18, 2022

Hello,

I'm using the power up Screenful, in order to create Epics, and I have found that as soon as I assign an epic to a card, that card's status is now 'Done' and when you go to the Epic, it shows as all cards are 'Done' - not great when you want to track progress. I've played around with adding due dates, and it won't change the card status. :(

Hi @Geneviève Landry 👋

Hmm that doesn't seem right, considering the issue my recommendation would be to raise this with the Power Up's support team directly. You can get in touch with them via email at support@screenful.com, and they'll be able to dive into the issue in more detail for you.

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃

All the best,

Laura

Hello Laura,

I reached out to their support as well as post here, and they did respond, saying that it was in the settings. There are multiple settings, and it was confusing to find it. But for anyone else encountering this problem, you have to first click on 'Epic Cards' in your utility nav of your Trello Board. From there, click on 'Settings' in the side nav.

In the section "In addition to epics, you'll have tasks that are assigned to epics. Select the lists where cards are moved when they are completed. These will be shown as done tasks in your epic cards. It's ok to leave this empty if there are no done lists in this board *" ... I only read the first part of this, and just listed all the lists (lol)... but this is meant to be only the list that will contain done tickets. It goes to show that you should read everything ;-)

Cheers,

Gen
