Card Aging: Toggle Evergreen for Link based cards?

Is it possible to toggle "Evergreen" for a card that is a link? Or must it be first converted to a regular card? This has the effect of removing any helpful preview generated by the link card.

That does seem to be a bit of an issue.  I would suggest that more often than not you would want link cards to be evergreen...

I would certainly contact Trello about this but don't expect it to be changed any time soon...

In the meantime, you can embed links into the description of cards.  Its not as good as opening straight from the card but it is a way to keep the full card functionality...
