Cannot login into Trello MacOS desktop app with Google

I usually log in with Google on my MacOS Trello Desktop app, but now I get the message "The browser you’re using doesn’t support JavaScript, or has JavaScript turned off. To keep your Google Account secure, try signing in on a browser that has JavaScript turned on."

I have no idea which browser the Trello app is using, is it the system default? I have no problem logging in from the browser itself.

Any hint on how to solve this is appreciated

I have experienced the same problem on a windows 10 desktop. I solved this problem by clicking on the google sign as usual

And then.... 

Instead of clicking on your email address that bypasses the need for a password, you need to add in your email address and password manually, and it should work. Worked for me

It sounds like the Trello desktop app is having trouble with the embedded browser it uses for authentication. It's likely not using your system's default browser but a built-in one that may be outdated or misconfigured. Try reinstalling the app or switching to the web version temporarily. You can also log in via browser and then open the desktop app   sometimes the session carries over.

Reinstalling the app didn't work. I clicked on "Can't log in" and created a password for the same gmail address that I used for logging in with Google and was able to access my boards.
