Hello,
I am locked out of my Trello account and cannot log in.
I was previously logged in automatically via browser. I changed my email address some months ago and don't remember exactly whether I used email/password or Google login.
After several password reset attempts with two different email addresses, it seems multiple accounts were created. None of them give me access to my old boards.
I do not have a current board URL because I cannot log in. But the board adress is:
https://trello.com/b/HBKh6Wwk/papa-mama)
I would be very grateful if you can help me recover access to my original boards. I can provide more details (approximate creation date, board names, card titles I remember, etc.) to prove ownership.
Thank you!
Hi @Silke Wegner , Trello can only verify account ownership two ways: you log in directly with the email and password on file, or you recover access through the actual email address tied to that specific account, including via Google sign-in if that's how the account was created. Any other email or a plain signup creates a brand new, empty account instead, which is very likely what happened during your reset attempts.
Before contacting support, it's worth trying every email and login method you've ever used for Trello, including Google sign-in, one at a time, since one of them may still open the original account directly.
If none of them get you back into that account, this becomes a case for Atlassian Support, selecting Account Login and Email Issues. Give them the board URL, the approximate creation date, and the board and card names you remember, that's exactly the kind of proof they ask for to verify ownership and point you back to the right account.
