I am retiring in a couple months and I created a Trello account with multiple boards being used by others.  Along with the active boards, there is also a lot of history that we don't want to lose.  Is there a way to transfer the account from one user to another?

Hi @Deb Hartman Welcome to the Community,

Since you are retiring, the best approach is to transfer Workspace and Board Admin rights to your successor rather than transferring the account itself.

1. Transfer Workspace Admin Rights

  • Go to Workspace > Members.

  • Invite your successor and change their role to Admin.

2. Transfer Board Admin Rights

  • Open each board, click the Share button, and ensure your successor is added.

  • Find their name and change permissions to Admin.

3. Update Billing

  • The new Admin should go to the Billing tab to update the payment method if you were using a personal card.

Once these steps are done, your successor will have full control, and all card history, comments, and attachments will remain intact. You can then safely leave the Workspace.

Congratulations on your retirement!

Best,
Liam
