We use Trello to track support tasks for a large pool of clients. I'd like to give each client their own tag, and when I apply that tag to a card I want it to pull in some information about the client, such as our main contact's name, email, and phone number.
I assume I would need some type of Trello Extension to do this, but I haven't found one that seems to fit what I need.
Butler could help you with this.
One way I could see it is to create custom fields for those metadata elements. Then create "Customer" cards and fill out those fields.
You could then use Butler to append onto the card the content of the custom fields from customer the card that matches the label's name.
Here's more information on butler's interaction with Custom Fields: https://butlerfortrello.com/trello-custom-field-automation.html
Butler also has a Command Builder tool to help you create the command I described above: https://butlerfortrello.com/builder.html
There's also a Butler Trello board that might have even more info: https://trello.com/b/2dLsEE9t/butler-for-trello
