Can't copy a old/archived trello card

I don't have the option to copy trello cards that are from other boards and/or have been archived. I have access to the trello boards I want to copy cards form, and the board I want to move the copied card to. My colleagues who also have access to these boards, have the option to copy these past/archived cards, but I don't.
