Can´t add cards to a list at IPAD

I use an Ipad and a laptop. At the Ipad, I can not add additional cards to an existing list. When adding a card, it is visible for a short moment, then disappears.
If I do the same at my laptop, the card ist created and remains.  I even can see ist at the Ipad then. So it si not a matter of amount of cards, but what then?
