I’m helping a friend who can’t access their Trello account anymore.
When trying to log in, the page started asking for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app, but they never configured any authenticator before.
They already requested the account recovery email through the Atlassian website, but it’s been more than 24 hours and no recovery email has arrived, not even in the spam folder.
Since it’s not possible to log in, they can’t contact Atlassian Support directly.
Could someone from the Atlassian team please check this situation or provide the next steps to recover access to the account?
Thanks in advance for any help
Hi

I had a similar challenge to the one outlined above but found the 6-digit authentication reference in the password section of my phone - I'd had to download an Atlassian app when first using Trello, and the authentication/verification code field regularly changes in there, beneath where it shows the password (assuming you've saved it to your phone's keychain or similar. Hope this helps. It bamboozled me until I looked in there, as no reference was made in Trello to it being there!
Good luck.
