I created a Trello board many years ago and have been using it to track critical projects. I created it initially using the email address of the place I worked at the time.
After I left that position several years back I continued to log in with the same email address username and password, with no issues, as recently as a couple of months ago. There was zero indication this would ever stop working, so I never changed the username to my personal email address.
Last night I attempted to log on and for the first time it required 2FA to get in, by sending the code to my old username email address, which obviously no longer exists. I wasn't even able to log on to simply ask this question or submit any sort of support request, so I had to create a new account with my personal email just to post this.
Please help me regain access to my board so I can update the username! Or alternatively, I can simply access it to pull down the historical info and close the account affirmatively.
Thanks!
Jumping in on this older post, but have you tried checking if your Trello account is connected to an Atlassian account with 2FA enabled? Sometimes, syncing issues can occur if settings aren’t aligned. Also, double-check if any app-specific passwords are required for your current setup. Curious if things have improved for you or if there are recent updates on Trello's end.
Hello and welcome to Atlassian Community @Maya Markovich
Due to strict security protocols, Atlassian can't just turn off 2FA like that.
