Can no longer add URLs to card description

Our team uses URL linking functionality in our Trello cards as part of our day-to-day work. Today we noticed that we are no longer able to to link URLs and we get an error saying "Your text is 145 characters too long to save". The URLs we're working with aren't terribly lengthy -- is it possible this is a bug and not a new feature?

Oh nevermind - I realize now that we've actually reached the end of the text allowance for card description, which is why we aren't able to link URLs to existing text.
