Hello, yesterday I've closed a board from my personal Trello account because I thought I was only closing it for me. That board was used for work, and now my colleagues can no longer access it, it says for me to reopen it on the administrator account, but when I try to access that account it looks like it was created a new account? We don't know what to do as this board is very important. Could someone help us? This is very important for us to get back access to it.
Hi @Solange ,Welcome to the community!
I’ve taken a look at your account with the Gmail email address, and I can confirm that it’s not a newly created account. I also noticed that you have one board which was closed yesterday. The good news is that the admin of the board can reopen it for you.
The username of the board admin is spalstudio. I recommend reaching out to your colleagues and asking the board admin to reopen the board for you.
Thank you!
Hello @Sakshi Verma , thank you.
The problem is that we cannot access the spalstudio account any longer. We tried to access it with the email of the spalstudio account and there were no option to reopen the board and it looked like it wasn't the samme account? How can we reopen the board if we don't have access to the admin? Can you guys help us? Or name a different administrator account? Thank you.

@Sakshi Verma What can we do?

Oh no, that sounds stressful! It happens sometimes when boards are closed from personal accounts — Trello treats “closing” as hiding it for everyone unless you reopen it properly.
A few things you can try:
Log in with the original account that created the board (even if it looks like a new one, double-check the email address).
Once logged in, go to Boards → View Closed Boards → Reopen. That should restore access for everyone the board was shared with.
If the original account can’t be accessed, contact Trello Support as soon as possible — they can help restore board ownership.
I’d suggest doing this ASAP, especially since your team relies on it. Lesson learned: always double-check whether closing a board is personal or affects the team!
