Can butler create a new card and assign a date based on the date on another card

Hi, let’s say I have a card called “Event” that gets filled in with a date. I’d like an automatic reminder be sent to me to do something a week before that date. 

what’s the best way to do this?  

I was considering adding a rule where it would create another card with the “Event” date minus one week.  But I’m not sure how to do that either.

Hi @S M 

Try adding a custom date field that would hold your event date. Then add a Trigger (under Fields) of 'when Event Date is set to date less than 7 days from now' and then use the Action (under Add/Remove) of 'creating a new card xxx, in list xxx and set due now'  

The rule would check when the event date is within that specified timeframe and automatically add a new card in the list with the due date of now.
