I am using the Salesforce power-up. I would love to be able to access the values displayed on the card in an Automation script to do things like set the title of the card to the value of an opportunity name for instance. I was hoping the values displayed would be treated like other custom fields and I could use the normal techniques to display those values in a rule - but it appears that may not be the case.
From the reading I've done on this site, I suspect there may not be access to this data within the Butler for Trello environment - but if somebody knows a way, that would be very helpful.
When using a Power Up, the data is not available unless made available as CFs by the developer. In some cases, you can for example Typeform. You have to employ some external services via the http request provided by Trello. Other alternatives is to setup a webhook from Salesforce to create cards with the data populated as CFs. You should be able to achieve this with Zapier.
Hi @Michael Waldrop 👋
Welcome to the Community! It's an interesting feature and would be great to be able to do but to my knowledge this isn't possible within Butler's environment.
I wonder whether it would be useful to potentially submit a feature request for future ideas and improvements to Trello? If you would like to look into, I'd recommend looking at Trello's guide on how to submit a feature request here >> https://help.trello.com/article/724-submitting-feature-requests-for-trello
I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃
All the best,
Laura
