Hello,
I would like to report a bug in Trello. I have a card with title Concrete and for example 40 others (one of them has title Creation). If I use search in cards at mobile app and write "cre" I got 2 results (both of mentioned cards), but when I use search in webapp at notebook and write "cre" I got as result only card, when "cre" is at begin of title, so "Creation", concreate is not counted, so result is 1.
I think this is bug.
Could you please check?
Hi Vladimír,
I’ve just tested the search feature on my Android mobile, the web version, and the Trello desktop app, and I got the same results each time.
Our global search is not designed to find words in the middle of a card name, so in your example, you would only see one result, no matter which device you use. ℹ️ However, when using the filter (the option inside a board that searches for cards only on that board), I was able to reproduce the behavior you described.
I’ve created a bug report for this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1692
Thank you for reporting this bug. If what you’re seeing is different, please let me know. We appreciate your help in making Trello a better product!
Hello,

Yes, this is the filter option I was referring to. The bug report I created specifically describes this issue.
To clarify, we refer to this functionality as "filter," not "search." When we mention "search," we're referring to the global search on the home page. I just explained the difference for you to understand the report.
For more details on the differences between filtering and searching in Trello, you may find this documentation helpful: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/search-filter-and-custom-views/
