Bug - Card Attachment Isn't Removed After Original Card is Deleted

Oria Weng
July 31, 2026

Hello! I'm experiencing a bug relating to Trello card attachments.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a card and title it "Card A"

2. Create a second card and title it "Card B"

3. Add Card B as an attachment to Card A

4. Delete Card B

Expected result:

Card A should display as having no attachments.

Actual result:

Card A displays as if it has one attachment remaining that is stuck in a loading loop.

Hi @Oria Weng ,

I've managed to replicate this on my instance as well.

While there isn't an official bug report related to that (it's most likely an indexing issue), I've created a new support ticket asking if they can create an official public bug report for it.

I'll get back to you here once they reply.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Oria Weng @Carlos Garcia Navarro ,

Quick update - here's the open bug related to this: TRELLO-1849: Card A shows stuck loading attachment after linked Card B is deleted

I'd recommend setting yourself as a watcher and voting on this item. I already see it's "In progress" so I'm guessing they'll fix it relatively soon. 👀

Cheers,
Tobi
