Board "Workspace visible" is not editable by other workspace members

Free version, I create a new workspace and a new board in this workspace with visibility Workspace visible. This visibility setting's description is:

"AII members of the <name> Workspace can see and edit this board."

I invite someone to the workspace, they can see the board but can't edit it. If I then also invite them to the specific board, they can also edit it.

Is this behaviour expected? This is actually what I want (workspace members being able to view but not edit) but from the description I get that they should also be able to edit just by being in the workspace. I don't want to rely on a temporary bug or something.

Hi there, 

Answering your question, it depends; there is a second setting you need to work with to allow or not edits from other Workspace members,  

Beyond setting the board to be Workspace visible, go to the right side menu of your board More > Settings.

Toggle Allow Workspace members to edit and join if you want them to, but in your case, keep this option disabled, and they will only have permission to view the board.
