Automation due date ignore checklist?

Hi there. I am setting up a few simple automation rules to move and sort cards between lists based on due dates, but found that such rules seem to ignore the due dates for individual checklist items. 

I don't necessarily want to set a due date for the card, as it necessitates it being manually updated every time there's progress. Is there a way to make the automation read the earliest due date within a card, or at least to automate copying the earliest due date to the card's main due date as a workaround?
