Does anyone know if there's any plugin or workaround to automate cards for social posts in a social media scheduling/management tool?
Hi @Casey Lozier ,
Welcome to the Community! I vote for Zapier too! You could use a Trello list as your publishing queue and have Zapier trigger when a card is moved into a “Post Now” list. Zapier could then run the appropriate publishing action and, once that's done, update or move the Trello card so you can keep track of what's been published.

You may not need Trello Automation (formerly Butler) just to trigger the Zap when someone moves a card. Trello Automation could still be useful if you want to automate other parts of the workflow, such as actions based on dates:

The part I'd test before building the whole workflow is the media. Zapier has integrations with social platforms such as Instagram for Business and Facebook Pages, but the supported post types and media requirements vary by platform.
Instagram for Business:

Facebook Pages:

So if your Trello cards contain images or videos, I'd first build a small test Zap for each social network you need and confirm that the Trello attachment can be passed to the publishing action in the format you want.
If that works for your particular platforms and media types, then Trello as the content/approval queue + Zapier for publishing could be a nice lightweight alternative to a dedicated social scheduling tool.
