Hi everyone.
I have set up automation from Bigin to create a card in Trello every time a sale is made. All of the required information is coming over into the description box (i.e. sales made into specific towns). Our production department add labels to these cards to specify if they fall within 3 defined regions. Is there a way to add a label to the card easily using automation? Below is an example. No sales are made in the Surrey or Bucks areas, only TV, so I would like this card to have a label added for TV. Likewise if all 3 areas had sales in them, they would need all 3 labels added. I hope this makes sense - I am very new to this!
Surrey Areas [NONE]
Bucks Areas [NONE]
TV Areas [Abingdon OX14/OX13 Outside Back Cover]
Any advice would be welcome!
Kind regards,
Steve
Hi @Stephen Clapton !
Good news—Trello's native automation can definitely help you with this! You can set up automation rules to add labels to cards based on the content of the description. For example, you can create a rule like: "When the description of a card contains 'TV', add the label 'TV'." You'd do the same for Surrey and Bucks, creating separate rules for each.
If you're new to Trello's automation features, I’d recommend checking out the Trello Guide on automation: trello.com/guide/automate-anything. It's got a lot of great info to help you get started and make the most out of Trello's automation.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance. You've got this!
Thank you @Renato Fagaraz much appreciated. Is there a way I can set up automation to cross reference against a pre-defined list of words? So if I had a specific list of towns, if one of those showed up in the description box, it could add a label, instead of me creating x amount of individual rules for each town? Thank you
