A member of staff has passed away. Is there any way to add myself as Admin to their boards/workspac

Can I change myself from Member to Admin on a board and workspace of a member of our staff who has sadly passed away?

Welcome to Atlassian Community. 

If you have the Admin permission then you can add user self as Admin to the board as per your organisational compliance policy

or

you can reach out to you site admin to add you as admin to that Board.

if not above and if you a paid subscription you can raise a support ticket to Atlassian Team from below url
