🍾 What's your learning or certification New Year’s resolution? Here’s mine…

Happy 2025! 🎊 Entering a new year tends to bring about a time of reflection and setting intentions. Many of us will take this time to start the year fresh with new goals. These can be personal, professional, or both!

For example, one of my personal New Year’s resolutions is to create more connections with friends (and test my cooking skills) by hosting at least one dinner party this year! 👩‍🍳

As a member of the Atlassian University team, I also love challenging myself to learn more about our products. My professional New Year’s resolution is to earn at least two more certifications. Last year, I took the plunge and earned certifications in Jira Software Essentials and Confluence Essentials. Now, I’m hooked! I want to continue testing my product knowledge and earning those sweet badges for my profile.

Hey @Becky Mueller!

I'm not going to call it a new year's resolution, but a personal goal for 2025.  There are 3 Certifications I need to complete:

• Atlassian Cloud Foundations - which I passed last week!
• Jira Software Essentials
• Jira Software Board Configuration

Finishing the remaining two will complete my certification collection (until any new ones are released).  I'm also planning to complete both of those before Team '25.  Hopefully, I can come back here with some good news soon!

To get started I have 3 of my certifications expiring early this year .. and I need to figure out the new CE units concept to keep my certifications alive 😊

I'm missing two JSM-related ACAs:

• ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations

• Jira Service Management Agent Essentials

so my goal is to get these this spring or summer 🤓 I actually quite love going out to the terrace, bringing my laptop and a cup of coffee, and going through University courses while I prep. for the exams 😄

I've been a bit slack on actually doing the certifications (although I've done many of the Atlassian University courses), so personal goals for this year include working towards Atlassian Certified Agile DevOps Specialist, so I guess I'm going to be looking at:

• Jira Essentials
• Jira Board Configuration
• Atlassian Cloud Foundations
• Confluence Essentials

This also helps towards Atlassian Certified ITSM Specialist, which in turn contains certifications that lead into Atlassian Certified Administration Expert, but those are further down the line.

My 2025 growth goal is to:

• Take advantage of Atlassian's FREE growth opportunities!!!
  • Complete the FREE Learning Paths in Atlassian University for:
    • Loom
    • Rovo
  • Join Live Learning Sessions (I'm looking at you, Jimmy!) and ACE virtual events
• Earn one of the NEW Atlassian Certified Expert and Specialist designations 
  • I love that they're aligned to the Atlassian System of Work! 
  • Now to decide... which one?!

I'm rooting for y'all! Let's DO THIS :)

I told you I would be back if I had good news! As of this morning I successfully completed all the exams I listed above. I now hold all 12 certifications and all 3 designations. I'm feeling happy and excited that I completed this goal, but also I'm ready for a nap now ;)
