I want to be able to limit the external users who can access the page. I want to use a public page but only for email/SMS/Slack notifications for now. I want to keep access to the actual Statuspage behind a login initially and open it up once we are happy with how the page looks etc etc
Hi @darren.brooks and welcome to the community,
A public page...well.. it's public. :)
I'm not sure you can disable it. Perhaps it's a best practice not to use a custom domain yet. Leave it as xxxxx.statuspage.io. Make the necessary changes and then connect it to your domain. In this case you need to add the "stakeholders" as members of the statuspage.
If that doesn't suit you, then you can also change plan to audience specific. That way you can grant access to anyone you wish.
