If I switch to a Private Page, it shows "Authenticated users can view private pages. Communicate privately with internal employees or selected customers."
Could the "selected" customers be external customers?
Hi Darren,
Thank you for contacting StatusPage Community. I’m Nayan, happy to help. J
The "selected" customers on a Statuspage Private Page can be external customers, not just internal employees. While Private Pages are most commonly used for internal audiences (because authentication methods like SAML, Google Auth, and IP allowlisting are often easier to manage for internal users), it is possible to grant access to external users as well.
To do this, you must provision external users using one of the supported authentication methods. As long as the external customer can authenticate using the configured method (for example, by being added to your SAML directory, Google Auth, or via username/password if using Audience Specific Pages), they can be granted access to your Private Page.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Nayan
