Google Cloud had a major outage today. Why didn't my GCP Cloud Machine Learning component show down?

I noticed that during the GCP downtime of most services today, my GCP 

Cloud Machine Learning external component in statuspage never showed down, even though Dialogflow CX, Dialogflow ES, Vertex AI Search, & Vertex Gemini API were down, we didn't see Machine Learning down.
Perhaps the list available in Statuspage is "old", as I think Dialogflow ES/CX weren't broken out on https://status.cloud.google.com/ in the past?

Thank you for contacting the StatusPage community. We understand you have an observation regarding the GCP downtime and the Statuspage components.

It's possible that the "Cloud Machine Learning" component on Statuspage did not reflect the downtime because the list of services/components being monitored may not be fully up to date with the latest GCP offerings. As you noted, services like Dialogflow CX, Dialogflow ES, Vertex AI Search, and Vertex Gemini API have become more prominent and may not have been individually tracked or broken out in the past on the official GCP status page. This can result in outages for these newer or more granular services not being reflected under broader categories like "Cloud Machine Learning."

If you rely on specific GCP services, it's a good idea to periodically review both the official GCP status page and your Statuspage configuration to ensure all critical components are being monitored and reported accurately.

If you'd like us to investiagte this further from our side, I'd suggest opening a support request with us and we'll take it from there.
