My goal is to be able to create a custom field (which I did), and once there is a comment added to an item, for the field to utilize AI (Rovo) to populate a new summary. How can I do this? I created the field, am trying to create an automation rule, but am getting an error - Invalid Use Agent action. it doesn't actually let me see what the errors are.
Actually, what @Florian Bonniec says is correct for Agents in general... But Agents in Automations are not yet executing Actions on their own. They only return a response which then you can act upon with further actions in the Automation.
I know the Automation and Rovo Team is working on enabling Skills via Automation but it's not yet delivered.
@Heather Barnes could you take a screenshot of the expanded Rovo Action? If the Automation is throwing errors like this, it must be a configuration thing.
Hey @Heather Barnes I second @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ response. In automations, a Use agent step can’t run the agent’s own skills/actions—it only returns text, which you then use in later automation steps like Edit issue to update your custom field. The “Invalid Use agent action” error is usually a configuration issue in that automation step, not something fixed by adding skills to the agent.

Not sure to understand what you try to do but you have to add skills to your agent in order to let the Rovo agent do action.
It's in the skill section of your Rovo agent configuration. If the skills is not available that means you cannot ask Rovo to do that action.

You can create skills using Forge but it's more advanced.
