HI,
Last week, we received some of Rovo's features in our Confluence site.
I have gone through Rovo's documentation, and it isn't clear what's included and what's not for standard licenses. For instance, we have the chat function in Jira but not in Confluence, but we can chat about Confluence from the home screen.
It doesn't include the AI features but does include agents, to some extent?
Can we have a table with all the features that are currently available to standard and what is the road map?
Also, I recommend adding Rovo as a product in the Atlassian weekly releases.
Atlassian weekly releases
Hi Tami — great questions, and you're right: the details around what Rovo includes for Standard plans are hard to find and honestly, Atlassian hasn’t shared a full rollout plan i.e. who gets what and when.
I recommend contacting your Atlassian rep directly. They can walk you through exactly what’s included in your site and help clarify what’s coming next. If you're a site admin, you can find your rep's info by going to:
admin.atlassian.com → Billing → Contact Support
If a dedicated rep is assigned, their name and contact info may appear there.
If not visit https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact
Here’s what I know as of May 2025 (but the second I write this, I feel like it will go out of date):
Feature | Status | Notes |
---|---|---|
Rovo Search | ✅ Available | Across Jira and Confluence data. |
Rovo Chat (Home) | ✅ Available | Use via rovo.atlassian.com. |
Rovo Chat in Jira UI | ✅ Available | Native launcher present. |
Rovo Chat in Confluence UI | ❌ Not yet | Still rolling out—timeline unclear. |
Custom Agents | ✅ Limited | Basic agents work; some actions/connectors restricted. |
Prebuilt Agents (Dev, Triage) | ❌ Premium+ only | Not available on Standard. |
AI Summaries/Definitions | ❌ Premium+ only | Requires Atlassian Intelligence. |
External Data Indexing | ❌ Not supported | No Slack/Google Drive/etc. |
Hello @Tami Dubi
From the Atlassian's official site regarding Rovo: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/rovo#billing-subscriptions there isn't the pricing. Users that are on Enterprise and Premium will automatically have Rovo for free that they can enable.

Hi,
Thanks, but this doesn't answer my question.
We need to know and understand exactly what was included and is in our site and what is the roll out plan specifically for standard licenses. in order to inform our employees and establish new best practices.

For Standard licenses, Rovo will be free as well in the future.
Official roadmap with releases can be found here: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?status=comingSoon&
Features that are included in Rovo could be found here: https://support.atlassian.com/rovo/docs/explore-rovo-features/

Hi,
Thanks. But again, this doesn't answer my question.
There are specific capabilities that aren't enabled in standard since we don't have AI (only premium has it) - we need to understand how that affects us, and why, for instance, the Rovo chat button appears in Jira and not in Confluence, and what is the indexing capacity, etc.
Many small but important details that are missing that are specifically relevant for Rovo in standard licensing.
