Hello,
We want to use the Rovo agent on our Service Desk Portal to assist people if needed. We're using the IT Helper, and when we enable Rovo to appear in the portal, it pops up in the bottom right of the page as a small icon.
When users go through the portal, it pops up every time a new drop-down is selected. If you cancel the Rovo pop-up, it still appears every time you continue working through the portal. This is very annoying, and multiple users have complained. We have decided to remove the agent from the portal.
The Atlassian Virtual Agent allows users to choose whether they want to use it.
Will there be more settings in the future to change the pop-up behaviour?
People should have the option to choose whether they want to use Rovo rather than being spammed by it.
There is a JAC ticket for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-17948. You can log in and vote for it, but I wouldn't get your hopes up that it will be addressed anytime soon.
To add to this @Jace Anderson what you’re seeing is expected behavior right now—Rovo agents in the JSM portal have limited UI/UX controls, and there isn’t a setting to disable or customize the auto pop-up behavior yet. Several users have raised similar concerns as @Derek Fields _RightStar_ mentions. At this stage, the only real option is to disable it in the portal if it disrupts the experience. More granular controls may come, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
