Plans for attachFile for MCP?

I think the Claude connector is working really well. Powerful addition to my workflow. Are there plans to expand the features, like adding attachFile?

Glad to hear this feedback about Claude integration through MCP server. 🙂

There are some feature requests when it comes to Claude (see here), but not sure how often these are being 'updated' or tracked on JAC.

Now, there is a separate MCP server discussion group Atlassian Rovo MCP Server, where folks might have some additional info about it.

Potentially the best bet would be to reach out to Atlassian Supprot and discuss this with their team, as they will most likely know the appropriate channel on where you can submit this feedback/feature suggestion. 🤔

*btw, I'm going to move this to a Rovo forum group, so potentially someone else can chime in if they have any other insights

I'd add to @Tomislav Tobijas comment with there’s no public roadmap confirming an attachFile capability for MCP yet. Atlassian has been actively expanding MCP features, but file attachment support hasn’t been officially announced. For now, workflows typically rely on links or existing integrations.
