Hi,
I want to format my tickets using ADF to provide me richer visual usability for the consumers of the ticket, but it seems that the Rovo MCP only supports the old markdown format.

Is this true, and if ADF is actually supported then how do I send ADF formatted information via the MCP?

Thanks.
Steve

@Steve Rigby From Atlassian’s docs, the MCP tools generally work with Markdown/plain text payloads (they even call out Markdown bodies for Confluence). Today there’s no documented way to send raw ADF JSON through the Atlassian Rovo MCP tools, and the community has open requests to return/handle ADF for Jira fields. If you need guaranteed ADF rendering, use Jira REST API v3 directly.
