I would like to configure an agent so it has the capability to log work on projects directly through the agent's chat.

However, when creating the scenario within the agent, I cannot find this capability among the available Jira skills. Is there any way to configure my agent to fulfill this purpose?

At the moment, Rovo does not provide an out-of-the-box skill for adding worklogs to a work item. However, you can achieve this by building a custom skill using Forge.

I'll add to this to say: The available Jira actions cover creating and updating issues, but work-log operations aren’t exposed to agents yet. The only options today are logging work manually, using Jira Automation or REST API outside Rovo, or building a Forge/MCP integration that adds work logs and then calling it from an agent.
