Welcome to the Rovo Q&A Group!

This launchpad is a place for you to discover information on Rovo, find peer-to-peer support, and learn about new releases. For those of you who have been in here from day 1, much respect. For newbies, welcome!

We’re sharing some of our popular resources to help you get started on your Rovo journey:

• Step right up to our Rovo Adoption Hub!
• Get intro'd to Rovo at our officially official Rovo landing page
• Dive right into a learning path: Get The Most Out of Rovo. Start with Getting Started (obviously) and then check out Get Help From Rovo Chat & Agents.
• Once you know all about agents, try out some of Atlassian's Use Cases.

If you have a specific support-related question, “how do I…” or “where can I…” we encourage you to ask your question on the Questions board.

• @Ciara Twomey-Nielsen leads the main Atlassian AI & Rovo forum—curating current content, engaging the community, and keeping discussions fresh and relevant.

Does Rovo still only connect to Jira Cloud? I have an AI developer who thinks it can connect to Data Center because they read this topic: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/connect-jira-data-center-to-rovo/

However, my director and I still think this is a way to push data from Jira DC to a Jira Cloud environment (second bullet point). Please let me know if you can now connect Rovo directly to DC.

It would be weird if you can do this now that DC is dying out in a few years or less. :(

Hello!

My team and I have a question, during PR reviews we see Rovo Dev status as being "Reviewing your pull request...", but we never know when it's finished as it's always reporting the same status. Also, once we push a fix to the same PR, rovo dev runs again but we want it to run it manually, otherwise it's wasting dev's credits.

Can you remove the floating popup menu?  There are so many distractions as it is.  Or at least provide the ability to turn it on for individual users.

@Tal Fadlon You can’t convert a Rovo agent into a standalone Slack app, but you can use it in Slack via the Rovo Slack integration. Install the Rovo app in Slack, link it to your Atlassian site, and your agents can respond there. No separate packaging or deployment like a traditional Slack app.

@Elvar Böðvarsson there’s still no Firefox extension for Rovo. It’s designed to work inside Atlassian apps (Jira, Confluence, Slack), not as a browser plugin.

@KHAIYBOTAUSTEN without the exact error it’s hard to pinpoint, but most recent issues like this are entitlement, auth, or rollout-related rather than config. If you can share the message, it’ll be easier to narrow down.

@AS You’re jumping in at a great time—lots of new features (and questions 😄).

@Laura Minen there isn’t a formal “training” workflow for agents yet. Agents are shaped through instructions, knowledge sources, and iteration. If your agent mirrors the Progress Tracker, you’re on the right track—refinement is the main lever today.

@Jeramy Your understanding is still correct—Rovo does not directly connect to Jira Data Center. The supported pattern is pushing/syncing data into Cloud, then using Rovo there.

@Andrei Nakagawa This is still a known pain point. PR reviews can appear “stuck,” and auto-triggering on updates can’t be fully controlled yet, which can impact credits. This hasn’t been fully addressed—worth raising with support if it’s affecting usage.

@SankaraRao_Kalagadandu yes, but at a high level only. You can control access via site/product permissions and AI settings, but fine-grained agent-level access control is still limited.

@Oshun Jones there’s still no user-level toggle to remove the floating UI. Some behavior varies by rollout, but full customization or per-user control isn’t available yet.
