We have a Jira instance where we have users from our organization (abc.com) and our parent organization (xyz.com). We are trying to enable 2FA for all users across both domains. But the system prevents this while trying to validate the parent organization domain with a message that says "someone already verified this domain under another organization" (even after adding the required TXT entry in the xyz.com domain DNS).
The question here is - Is there a way to get around this problem considering that the only requirement is to enforce 2FA for all users?
Hi @Manmohan M ,
currently it's not possible to verify the same domain on 2 different Atlassian instances, as you can see.
What you can do as a workaround would be to create an Organization (with your parent company for example) and move your other company instance to it.
It's called a Transfer, and with this you would have a single Org where multiple Jira instances would exist. It also means that you would have a single place with all users from abc.com and xyz.com users, so that might not suit you.
In case you want to know more, you can have a look at the documentation here : https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/transfer-products-to-another-organization/
Let me know if this helps,

Thank you for the suggestion @Alexis Robert We will explore the feasibility of org/ instance transfer. Thanks again.
