IP Allowlisting - Included with Guard or only Jira/JSM/Confluence Premium?

Hi! 👋

I'm trying to clarify the licensing requirements for IP allowlisting in Atlassian Cloud.

From the documentation, I understand that IP allowlisting is available for Premium plans for Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, but I'm not clear on how this interacts with Atlassian Guard subscriptions.

My questions are:

  1. Does Atlassian Guard Standard or Premium include IP allowlisting?
  2. Or is IP allowlisting only available when the underlying products (Jira, Jira Service Management or Confluence) are licensed at the Premium tier, regardless of the Atlassian Guard subscription?
  3. If an organization has Atlassian Guard Premium but is running Jira and Confluence on the Standard plan, can IP allowlisting be enabled?

I've reviewed the documentation but I'm finding conflicting references and would appreciate confirmation from Atlassian or anyone who has implemented this setup 💙

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Brita Moorus

IP allowlisting is a product plan feature, not Guard feature. You need the Premium plan for Jira, Confluence, JSM, or Compass to use it. Having Guard Premium will not unlock IP restrictions if your core products remain on Standard.😉

While Guard handles org-wide security (like SSO and provisioning), IP allowlisting is strictly  at the individual product level. You can find the setting under admin.atlassian.com → Security → Device Security → IP allowlists.

Confirm with Sales before purchasing, but Guard Premium + Standard products won't suffice.

For Example this KB Article points explicitely on Premium Scope of IP allowlists in Atlassian Cloud | Atlassian Cloud | Atlassian Support
