Hello,

by using integration opsgenie and slack how to implement the following workflow:

slack channel member (first tier support) raises an incident on slack by using e.g. button or command and this escalation triggers opsgenie. Shift engineers receive notification from opsgenie

-how to create this workflow by slack and opsgenie side

Hey Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

Currently, this exact workflow cannot be achieved out of the box using just the Opsgenie and Slack integration. While Opsgenie’s Slack integration allows creating alerts or incidents via commands like /genie or responding to alerts directly in Slack, it does not support fully customized workflows like triggering incidents via a button or custom command without additional configuration.

To implement this, you would need to use custom tools or scripts, such as Slack Workflow Builder or a custom Slack app, combined with Opsgenie’s Create Incident API or Create Alert API to handle the workflow.

Best Regards,
Egor
