I have a need for multiple Action Policies to be triggered whenever conditions are true for them
Currently it seems only the top-most policy get triggered
Is there any configuration that would enable for multiple policies to be triggered by a single alert?
Hi Thiago!
At the moment it's only possible for a single action policy to be triggered from an alert, though I have entered a feature request for the ability to 'stack' these policies and trigger multiple ones if the conditions match. That request's reference ID is: OGS-4111
The only workaround that I can think of would be to set up OEC (Opsgenie Edge Connector) as an action channel, and send all matching alerts outbound to OEC to be processed there. Then, within the script that you build out to run on OEC, you can add the logic to trigger whichever combination of actions you like, depending on the contents of the alert.
Here's our documentation on setting up an OEC action channel:
https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/set-up-an-action-channel-with-oec/
And this is more generalized information about the OEC platform:
https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/opsgenie-edge-connector-as-an-extensibility-platform/
Hopefully that helps, but please let me know if there's anything else I can assist with!
Best,
Justin S.
