Hello All,

Having a couple of issues with OpsGenie integration.

The opsGenie-Mongo integration was smooth on the Mongo side (Project-> Alert settings), but faced some issue on the OpsGenie side.

1. The message was not automatically getting assigned to a team

2. The message priority (irrespective of what you set on the Mongo alert setting) was always coming as P3 - Moderate on the OpsGenie end.

I worked around this using a Global policy like:

- If Desc contains Mongo-ProjectName:

   - Then Assign the Team to my team & set the priority to P1, so that I can receive a voice call.

That works fine, but now all my messages from Mongo as P1. I need to have an option to send P2 messages that will be routed as SMS message.

Anybody facing similar issues or have found a better work around for Mongo integration, please revert back.

Hello @Sudheer Kumar

Thank you for contacting Atlassian Community!

I understand the challenges you're facing with the Opsgenie-MongoDB Cloud Manager integration. Here are some potential solutions and considerations:

1. Ensure that your integration settings in OpsGenie are configured to recognise specific tags or keywords in the alert payload from MongoDB. You are required to configure in the Opsgenie integration settings to confirm what you want to be displayed as a message.

2. Verify that the alert payload being sent from MongoDB contains the correct priority level. If MongoDB is sending the priority as part of the alert, you can use OpsGenie's "Create Alert" action in the integration settings to map the incoming priority to OpsGenie's alert priorities. You don't need to use any policy for this requirement.

The issues you have discussed appear to be specific configuration-related problems. You can raise a support request at: https://support.atlassian.com/contact to reach Opsgenie support. Who will then access your configurations and provide you with the suitable workarounds that you can consider for your instance.
