Essentially trying to evaluate a xls or google sheet filtering can be simulated in Confluence table as well.
Welcome to the Community!
This simple need is not supported in Confluence Cloud I'm afraid... If you're not against turning to the Marketplace, I can suggest you the app Elements Spreadsheet, available both on Confluence Cloud and on-premise since 2015. It's very simple to use, you can apply filters on headers and many other things, import Excel spreadsheets and work on them directly in Confluence. All the basic stuff Excel allows you to do is at reach while being tightly integrated to Confluence.
Another cool thing is the ability to make your own custom templates to match your company's look and feel.
If you need a demo or need to discuss your use case in greater details, feel free to book a time slot in my calendar, I'll be happy to help!
I hope this helps!
PS: I am the Product Manager of the app
The Advanced Tables by Appfire does the job: in addition to filter using different criterias, you can also generate pivot tables for reporting. It works also very good on table properties report feature in Confluence.
Here is the app: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/197/advanced-tables-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
Hope this helps

Hi @[deleted],
Our app that is Table Filter and Charts for Confluence will definitely meet your needs (available for Cloud/Server/DC).
You may check our Table Filter and Table Spreadsheet macros for filtering options.
We’ll be also happy to organize a live demo for you – please book an available time slot here.
Hey Rahul,
This is Vinod, as everyone said above, you can't really apply a filter to the table in Confluence.
However, you can use many apps that are available in Atlassian Marketplace.
Google sheets app is available in Marketplace and can be installed. Sheets work exactly the same way on Confluence as well. Try it.
