Why can' I set up loom to auto-record every meeting I'm invited to by members of my team/org?
I am always in several meetings and my team members need to sometimes hold meetings without me. With read.ai, when I am invited to a meeting and not able to attend in-person, the read.ai joins and I have the meeting notes afterwards. I am trying to do the same with loom but it only allows for meetings I own. How can I get it to work the way my read.ai does because I really need this feature. And yes, I get the privacy angle and that's why the meeting organizer can kick the bot out if they so wish and I'm good with that if and when it happens. In the absence of a refusal, I want it to work that way.
My Loom meeting recorder joins meetings I can't attend. See this guide to check your settings: https://support.atlassian.com/loom/docs/record-meetings-with-loom-ai-for-meetings/
Loom currently doesn’t support auto-joining or auto-recording meetings you’re only invited to—it's limited to meetings you own or explicitly set up for capture. Unlike tools like read.ai, there isn’t an org-wide “always join invited meetings” bot option right now. Best workaround is to have the meeting organizer enable Loom recording or share the recording after the meeting.

Hi there!
You can set your meeting recorder to automatically record all of the meetings you own. For meetings that you are not the owner of, you may also toggle on the recorder for that via the meetings tab in your Loom account.
We also have a new feature, Admin Calendar connect, which allows the admin to turn on this feature for the whole org in one step. This will automatically start meetings across the org, but still allow users the control to remove the recorder as you mentioned.
