Hello, I have tried for two months now to delete this and it will not let me.

Sorry to hear that  you’re running into trouble deleting your Loom account — I understand how frustrating that can be, especially after trying for a long time.

Here are the most reliable ways to fully delete your Loom account:

Try deleting from Account Settings 

  1. Log in to your Loom account

  2. Go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone

  3. Click “Delete Account” and confirm

If the button is disabled, it usually means:

  • You are part of a workspace/team plan, or

  • You’re not the workspace owner/admin

In that case, you’ll need to either leave the workspace or ask the admin to remove you before deletion is allowed.

 Leave any Workspaces first

If you belong to a team workspace:

  1. Open Settings → Workspaces

  2. Leave all active workspaces

  3. Retry account deletion

Loom prevents deletion while the account is still linked to an active workspace subscription.

 Clear browser issues 

Sometimes the delete action fails due to session/cookie problems. Try:

  • Logging out and back in

  • Using Incognito mode

  • Trying a different browser (Chrome/Firefox)

 Contact Loom Support 

If the option still doesn’t work after the above steps, it likely requires backend removal.

Submit a request here:
https://support.loom.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Include:

  • Your Loom account email

  • A short note: “Unable to delete account from settings — please permanently delete my account.”

Their support team can manually process the deletion and confirm once completed.

If you’re on a paid plan, make sure the subscription is cancelled first; otherwise, the delete option may remain blocked.
