loom cannot find the slide when recording, although I've selected 'window' to record

Which recorder are you using? Browser or desktop application?

Also, when you select a 'window,' how does the recording look at the end? Is it a blank screen or something else?

If you're doing a full-screen presentation, maybe the easiest way would be to select full screen instead of a window to see if that will work. 👀
