1. Downloaded and tested loom desktop app on Mac using youtube videos. All tested videos worked perfectly.
2. Loom desktop app settings on "full screen", system audio enabled, and "no microphone" (don't want ambient room noise in loom final video). These were the settings in my tested videos.
3. Zoom meeting started. Audio on meeting audible while watching zoom. Loom recording timer running. After meeting, loom recording captured as tested EXCEPT no audio can be heard in the final loom recording, no wave form, no transcript able to be generated. Obviously no audio was recorded but I do not understand why.
Thank you.
Hey @MMD ,
This article might help: Troubleshooting Missing or Poor Audio in Loom Recordings 📚
As somewhat stated in the article, you could check this:
Zoom Application Settings
Audio Output: In Zoom's audio settings, ensure both the Microphone and Speaker are set to Same as System. This ensures Zoom sends its audio through the system channel that Loom is monitoring.
Can you also maybe try running another dummy Zoom meeting to see if this will happen again?
Apart from all of that, you can reach out to Loom support by following the steps here: Need help with your Loom account? Here’s how to contact Support (and get help faster)
Cheers,
Tobi
Tested again with microphone on and of course this captures audio, but this also captures any ambient noise (someone coughing, my dog barking, etc). Something is obviously wrong with running zoom + loom desktop + the settings I put in original post. Please help!
