I'm new to Loom (& not a fan). Yesterday I recorded two videos (just me talking). One was about 20 minutes and the other 40. I was using Chrome and had gone to the Loom website to record. Once I was done the screen showed both videos "uploading" all evening. This morning I went thru tech support and figured out I needed to "recover" the videos. I did that and now one video is only 2.5 minutes and the other is 11 minutes.
How do I find the rest of the videos?
Hi, @Jerry Blocher - I'm not sure that the community will be able to provide any answers to this particular question. That is incredibly frustrating. I'm hopeful support can help you. You can reach out to them following the steps provided here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Loom-articles/Need-help-with-your-Loom-account-Here-s-how-to-contact-Support/ba-p/3201201
Amanda, thanks for the quick response. I've contacted loom support, but since I don't have a whole platform down and waiting on their answer, my response has apparently been deprioritized so it's hard to know if/when I might get a reply. That's why I came here.
I would suspect that I'm not the first person to lose significant video content during an upload and so hope that the community can share their experience in either finding the video (chrome app data, maybe?) or telling to give up and go get Tella or ScreenPal

Ugh, hopefully someone has a similar experience and knows how to recover the local files if they exist. I haven't seen this issue myself yet (thankfully) 😔

I will say that I use different recording tools for different needs. I wouldn't push you to use something else, but if I weren't using the Loom AI features and pairing Loom with Confluence/Jira, I'd use another tool myself.
