Hi I received a message about migrating files from Loom to Atlassian. Is Loom now a part of Atlassian and is this a required change?

Is everything else the same aregarding plans/billing with switch to the Atlassian and all under one roof or separate entities?

Thanks a want to know more before making any unchangeable adjustments. thanks

Hey @Clarke Tanner ,

Yeah, this is mandatory and all workspaces will eventually be migrated under 'Atlassian umbrella.'

As for some additional details, I'd recommend checking these articles:

Here's a sum up from one of the articles (related to billing):

At a glance: what’s changing with billing and roles as part of this integration:

  • Your Loom plan and features won’t change at the moment of integration.

  • Billing and user management will move into Atlassian Administration.

  • Admin work (including billing) will be handled through Atlassian’s standard admin roles.

Read more about pricing, billing, and role changes.

If you already pay Atlassian and Loom separately

If you’re an Atlassian customer today and you had a Loom account on legacy systems, your legacy Loom account will appear in a different org than your other Atlassian apps. You don’t need to change anything immediately, but we recommend consolidating so billing and user management are simpler.

Read more about merging Atlassian organizations.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tobi
