Hello: I would like to record using Loom and my laptop camera and ideally once the recording is started I would like to be able to minimize the screen so that it can record in the background but we would not be able to see the recording screen (it is distracting). So far, I see how to make the recording screen smaller but that makes the whole recording small or cut off or if I minimize the screen completely, the video stops recording. Is there a way to change the settings so we get the full video recording but without having to watch ourselves as we are being recorded?
Hi @Jenny Pelo
The practical workaround would be:
1. use Screen Only if the self-view is the distracting part
2. or keep Screen + Camera but hide the recording controls / camera bubble as much as possible
3. use the desktop app or Chrome extension rather than the limited SDK recorder
Thanks! I also just experimented with it and found that I can record in one tab/window and have a second tab/window also open at the same time that covers the recording but does not interfere with it. I appreciate your help.
