Hello Loom Team,
I subscribed to a 1-month Loom plan from December 28, 2025 to January 28, 2026 to record my training videos.
I use the share link of each Loom video so it displays inside my training platform (Skool). I have two questions:
1. After my subscription ends, can you confirm I will still have access to all the Loom videos I recorded during this period? I really want to make sure I won’t lose any of them.
2. For my clients to keep watching the training videos on Skool via the Loom video links, do I need to keep an active Loom subscription, or will the existing links continue to work without renewing?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Julia
What Happens to Your Loom Videos After Your Paid Plan Ends?
When you cancel or let your paid plan expire, your account is downgraded to the Starter (free) plan, but it is not deleted.
According to Loom:
You will have a limit of 25 videos for new recordings.
However, even if you have more than 25 videos, you maintain access to all of them.
The restriction is that you cannot record new videos while you are over the limit, unless you:
Delete some videos, or
Upgrade back to a paid plan.
In short: Yes, you will continue to have access to every video you recorded during that period, even after the 1-month subscription ends.
Do Share Links (Skool Embeds) Still Work Without an Active Subscription?
Yes. The functionality of the links depends on the privacy settings of each video and workspace policies, not on whether your subscription is active.
Key points from the documentation:
Videos set to "Anyone with the link":
Can be viewed by anyone who has the link.
No login or Loom account is required.
This applies to links pasted anywhere, including embeds in Skool.
Privacy settings do not change automatically just because you were downgraded to the free plan.
Note: Enterprise workspace admins can enforce specific policies (e.g., banning public links or setting link expiration), but this is specific to advanced configurations.
How to Ensure Everything Works:
To guarantee your Skool students don't lose access, check the following:
Open a few of your Loom videos.
Click Share.
Under Link Settings / "More options", ensure they are set to:
"Anyone with the link can view" (or equivalent).
Avoid settings like "Only workspace members" or "Only people added," as Skool users would see an "Access Denied" message or a Loom login screen.
